Alphabet Street Improvement Project

The City of Selma Alphabet and Storm Drain Improvement Project is scheduled to begin Monday July 24, 2023. The project is estimated to be completed by October 27, 2023.

The project includes work on A St, B St, C St, D St, E St, Stillman Ave between McCall Ave and Orange Ave. The work will be completed in multiple phases to help minimize impacts to the public.

The scope of work for this project includes complete removal and reconstruction of the paved street surface. A portion of public concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, pedestrian curb ramps will be removed and replaced to address accessibility issues. The concrete removal will be the first order of work and will start on A St working towards E St. Sidewalk closure will be in place. Project updates will be provided before each phase of construction.

During this time we ask you to be cautious when walking or driving near the construction areas. Traffic detours will be in place.
