Yard Sales


A Yard Sale Permit is required for all garage sales, patio sales or other sales similarly conducted in any residential area.  Such sales are restricted to personal property owned, used and maintained by the person or members of their family in connection with the premises.
 
Only three (3) such sales per family and per location may be conducted in each calendar year.  The sale shall be limited to not more than three (3) consecutive days each.
 
Yard Sales held for charitable purposes by nonprofit entities (i.e. churches, public schools, fraternal organizations) may be held at the premises of the organization with written permission of the owner.  All other rules must apply.
 
Signs shall not be affixed or attached to any public property, in the public right-of-way, utility pole, fire hydrant or similar fixture.  This offense is subject to a $100 fine.

For convenience, you may submit your application below and once you provide proof of address, City Staff will contact you to receive your payment and email your permit.

This fee may be waived for a nonprofit entity upon approval of the City Manager or his agent.
